How long is the online SCQ content available for review after sitting the exam?
“I can no longer attend the course, can I get a full refund?”
- Usually, 2 courses are run per year: one before each ACEM exam sitting.
- Generally, the first one for the year is held in the later part of February and early March and the second one is held later part of August and early September.
- Exact dates of each course are generally finalised 6-9 months before the course and once confirmed the dates will be advertised on the website.
When will the next course be held?
- When the dates for the next AFEM course have been confirmed, they will be posted on our AFEM website, on the relevant section of the home page.
I have registered to attend the course in-person, however, if my circumstances change, can I swap to attend the virtual course?
- Yes, this is possible, please email us as soon as you decide that you would like to swap, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Will every candidate get their SAQ paper marked?
- Only the first 50 candidates to register will have their SAQ paper marked. All other candidates will receive model answers, to complete their own marking of their paper.
- We recommend and encourage every candidate regardless of having their papers marked, to get their answers reviewed by their DEMT and other FACEMs to get broad feedback.
Do virtual candidates still get to complete the trial exam?
- Yes, both in-person and virtual candidates will complete the trial exam.
“I cannot attend the trial exam day; can I sit the exam in my own time?”
- The SAQ paper can be completed at a different time, however it is encouraged that you stick to the time limit to give yourself an accurate idea of your performance.
- Those first 50 candidates who we offer to mark their papers have to submit their paper at the scheduled time on the day. We cannot accept papers for marking if you decide to sit the exam at a different time.
- The SCQ paper will not be available to complete at another time; if you cannot attend during the time the SCQ paper is taken, you will not be able to complete this portion of the exam.
How long is the online SCQ content available for review after sitting the exam?
- The online SCQ exam hosted on EMCQ Practice website is available for review the moment you complete the exam till the end of the course. The exam access expires in 4 days from when you access it.
“I can no longer attend the course, can I get a full refund?”
- Please refer to our refund policy on the website, which states: REFUND POLICY: All refunds are considered at the discretion of the AFEM Executive. Refunds of a maximum of 60% of the course fee is payable with valid reasons with a notice period of 8 weeks prior to the course. Thereafter, refunds are managed on a case-by-case basis. No refunds are offered within 2 weeks of the course date. No course transfers to individuals or other courses are permitted.
