SAQ 5 - Anaesthetics

A 14 yo patient requires procedural sedation for manipulation of a fractured radius.

1. List 6 medical factors you would consider when assessing his anaesthetic risk?  (3)     

2. List the 6 factors you would consider when assessing whether you may have difficulty in managing his airway.  (3)

3. List 4 parameters you would monitor during procedural sedation (2)

4. List 4 clinical indicators that are used to decide if a patient is ready for discharge home after procedural sedation. (2)

REFUND POLICY: All refunds are considered at the discretion of the AFEM Executive. Refunds of a maximum of 60% of the course fee is payable with valid reasons with a notice period of 8 weeks  prior to the course.
